Jummy earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA.) degree in Psychology and Natural Science from Canterbury Christ Church University, England. She earned her Masters of Arts (MA.) degree in Counseling Ministries from Methodist Theological School in Ohio.
Jummy's resume includes work in homeless shelters, adolescent residential facilities, substance abuse treatment, community mental health facilities and outpatient settings where she provided individual therapy, group therapy, assessment, treatment planning, case management, crisis intervention, family therapy, life coaching, couples counseling as well as supervision of nurse practitioners, counselors and case managers. Jummy has assisted clients in shaping the next stages of their lives while coping with complex mental and emotional issues. She was also the Clinical Director at a community mental health agency in Columbus, where she was responsible for all aspects of operation and the overall quality of the behavioral and psychiatric clinical services. Jummy has harnessed her diverse mental health treatment background to become the CEO of Focus Counseling Clinic. She believes that therapy and coaching is a collaborative process that involves the individual, his or her community of support and a supportive nonjudgmental therapist/coach. As a speaker, life coach and therapist, Jummy creates a positive, motivational and conducive environment that facilitates the healing and growth of her clients. |
