Our Counseling Services

Compassionate, Non-Judgemental Therapy

Welcome to Focus Counseling, where you will feel empowered and supported as you explore life’s biggest questions.

Our team of licensed therapists and counselors are committed to getting to know our clients in a deep and meaningful way while cultivating a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic atmosphere. Whether you’re struggling with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression, grief and loss, unresolved trauma or PTSD, relationship issues, or a personality disorder, we are prepared to support you in your journey and offer you solutions for healing.

All of us at Focus Counseling pride ourselves on providing culturally competent and effective care to the wide range of individuals we serve. Our clinicians come from diverse cultural, spiritual, and educational backgrounds, allowing us to foster empathetic connections with our clientele. We approach the counseling process with curiosity, giving you an opportunity to explore your life’s central concerns along with the inherent strengths you possess in navigating them. While we aim to make this process gentle, inviting, and collaborative, we are nevertheless committed to challenging you along the way so that you may grow and develop a new awareness of yourself and the world around you.

Every client is unique, and as such, every individual will have a different therapeutic experience. Our team maintains extensive training and specialties, supporting the idea that each treatment plan is eclectic and will integrate a variety of counseling modalities. Our approaches draw from aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, Neuroaffective Relational Model therapy (NARM), and The Gottman Method for Couples Counseling. All of our clinicians incorporate mindfulness into the therapeutic process to equip you with a lifelong toolbox for emotional awareness and regulation.

Don’t do life by yourself--let our team at Focus Counseling bring a sense of clarity into view.

Focus Counseling is conveniently located in Grandview Heights, Ohio, though we serve the greater Columbus community. We provide in-person and online mental health counseling services to adolescents and adults.
